The Steinbeck & Sons staff has and always been a close-knit family oriented type of company. Each member of our team provides a special skillset that is essential for day-to-day operations.
Dave Steinbeck
Owner & Seed Manager
Dave has a degree from Iowa Western, 40 years experience in the business, and 26 years as a Certified Crop Advisor, which he puts to use in seed and crop management recommendations along with the day to day decisions of running a family owned business.
Tim Steinbeck
Owner & Agronomy Manager
Tim has an Agronomy degree from NWMSU, 40 years of experience in the business, and 26 years as a Certified Crop Advisor, which he puts to use in fertilizer and crop protection chemical recommendations along with the day to day decisions that go along with running a family owned business.
Chris Steinbeck
Agronomy Field Specialist
Chris graduated from NWMSU with an Agronomy Degree in 2012, and started working full-time at after graduation. Chris takes all the soil samples including the grid sampling. Chris also handles all the information from any of the various monitors we use from planting, drilling, variable rate fertilizer application, grid sampling layout & records, to writing the variable rate planting and fertilizing prescriptions. Chris is involved in every aspect of the business and many other day-to-day duties.
Jake Steinbeck
Agronomy Production Specialist
Jake graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agriculture Systems Technology in 2018, and started working full-time after graduation. Jake is responsible for handling our bulk chemical facility, loading and filling mini-bulks, and handles mixing hot loads. Jake is active in all aspects of the business and takes an active role in the seed shed along with many of the other day to day activities.
Jessica Steinbeck
Accountant
Jess graduated from NWMSU with an accounting and business management degree in 2012. She worked for two CPA firms doing audits, payroll, and taxes before joining Steinbeck's in 2016. Jess handles all the invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciling for the company.
